Abstract
This paper describes the Historical City of Campeche in Mexico, defining the urban and historical values of this located harbor city in the Yucatan Peninsula. It also describes the different aspects within the enclosure and the regional routes, as well as typological elements and their process of construction to be always up-to-date with the reforms of the modern fortifications. Few cities can stop the sequence of transformations caused by the forces of development and example of this was the universal nomination by UNESCO for its perpetual conservation.Apuntes is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
