The case of the Mummies Museum in Guanajuato, Mexico, allows the discussion concerning the ethics of the public exhibition of human remains. The article explores the western tradition of the exhibition of human parts; starting with the religious cult of Saints relics, to the curiosity that museums of XIX Century had on the topic. It finishes with a critical reflection on the limits of the commercialization of this type of exhibitions.
