About the Journal

Universitas Psychologica is a indexed scientific journal with the main purpose of divulge the scientific and investigative work of psychology from a wide thematic and theoric spectrum. It is a publication of general and plural character, that publishes original articles of research, reviews and theoretical or methodological contributions to the discipline, that was born in the year 2002 and it's published trimestral by the Faculty of Psychology of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.  Some issues are thematic specials in different areas of psychology (monographic numbers).

The original contributions sent to the journal are received by an Editorial Committee that assess all papers taking into account that each manuscript must fulfill the general criteria: precision, completeness, clarity, simplicity, contribution to the advancement of knowledge in the discipline, and interest for the journal; in case of being approved, they are sent to a second evaluation by external experts, using a double blind peer review process. 

This publication is indexed in the highest category of publications of Colciencias (Instituto Colombiano de Ciencia y Tecnología) and it has been indexed in international data bases such as Web of ScienceScopusRedalycSciELOPsycInfoDialnet, and Philosopher's Index, between other specialized bibliographic bases and directories. The journal offerss open access without restrictions through the website and the indexation and abstract systems that support it.
