Abstract
De acuerdo con la autora, generalmente, las interrelaciones entre educación y comunicación son tratadas en el ámbito de la educación formal. En estudio, la autora trata la educomunicación, forjada en los procesos de educación informal, en el contexto de ONG y movimientos populares, pues ésta se trata de un tipo de manifestación extremadamente significativa en Brasil y en el resto de América Latina. El artículo se basa tanto en una investigación bibliográfica como las reflexiones surgidas a partir de la observación. Se concluye que, en la práctica y con características propias, entre ellas la interacción con realidades locales, la comunicación producida por sectores subalternos organizados han contribuido a ampliar el espectro educativo en torno al ejercicio de la ciudadanía.This journal is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
