Abstract
La experiencia de las radios comunitarias en brasil es una de las mas ricas y variadas del continente. La autora, a partir de la documentacón propia, la prensa diaria, los pequeños periódicos de barrio, los boletines de las asociaciones de radios cominitarios, las revistas de información y especializadas, los documentos, internet y algunas entrevistas, reconstruye la trayectoria de estas radios. la radio comunitaria además de prestar un invaluable servicio a las comunidades a entrado a competir en audiencia con las radios comerciales lo que ha generado, a lo largo de su historia, una fuerte oposición de las empresas privadas de radiodifucion y del propio gobierno para impedir que estas logren una legislación que permita su funcionamiento. En defensa de sus intereses y de los de la comunidad que representan, las radios comunitarias brasileñas han emprendido un fuerte trabajo de agremiación y de constitución de su propia identidad frente a los grandes medios.This journal is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
