Abstract
La reflexión teológica sobre la mujer ha pasado por diversos momentos. En este artículo presentamos los aspectos más significativos de cada uno de ellos. En primer lugar se destaca la teología de la mujer, que pretende aportar la visión
femenina o lo femenino al quehacer teológico. En segundo lugar, encontramos la teología feminista y sus propuestas hermenéuticas. El feminismo es una denuncia crítica al sistema patriarcal dominante y una búsqueda radical de la dignidad y el
lugar de la mujer en la sociedad y en la Iglesia. En tercer lugar, identificamos esta reflexión teológica en América Latina señalando el contexto histórico, la construcción de la conciencia feminista en la teología, la hermenéutica propia y la reflexión sobre el lenguaje. Finalmente abordemos la categoría de género y sus implicaciones.
