Abstract
Ante la inminencia de la finalización del segundo milenio y a los noventa años de la magnífica intervención del Papa León XIII (1), vuelve la Iglesia a dejar oir su voz magisterial. 8.8. Juan Pablo 11 en la Encíclica Laborem exercens sobre el trabajo humano (2) reafirma vigorosamente la validez de la doctrina social católica, respecto a sus contenidos fundamentales, a sus consecuencias y a su papel en la sociedad actual.
