El siguiente artículo se pregunta cuál es el papel del dibujo en un contexto donde la indexicalidad de la imagen está políticamente cargada, y en el que la duda no es sólo una herramienta etnográfica, sino también es el objeto de la investigación etnográfica. El artículo presenta cómo en el distrito montañoso de los Altos Pirineos y Arán (Alt Pirineu i Aran), en España, donde realicé una investigación entre 2016 y 2018, el ataque de la fauna silvestre ha llamado la atención sobre la veracidad de pruebas visuales que son altamente disputadas. Entre afirmaciones contradictorias de agricultores y funcionarios del Departamento de Agricultura, Ganadería y Pesca (DARP), las imágenes dejan de reflejar certeza epistemológica y, en cambio, fomentan un clima de desconfianza. Este artículo propone que el dibujo etnográfico tiene la capacidad de visibilizar los matices de la relación complicada que los interlocutores mantienen con las imágenes.
