Abstract
Según se ha visto, el sentido general de las ideas dieciochescas y su penetración moderada no se efectuó repudiando el proceso anterior, sino a través del mismo pensamiento renovado, tanto en la metrópoli como en el Nuevo Reino. J. Sarrailh exalta la obra de los reformadores españoles con palabras elocuentes: "El siglo XVIII tiene un sitio de honor en la historia de la España liberal", aludiendo al esfuerzo por "salir de su morosa soledad y por seguir el ritmo del mundo" (1).
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public, encourages greater global exchange of knowledge.
