Abstract
Este artículo trata sobre la continuidad en las prácticas de orfebrería muisca hasta fines del siglo XVI. Ilustra el trabajo analizando documentos de la época, en lo que se refiere al cacicazgo de Lenguazaque, estableciendo la diferencia entre los orfebres indígenas (llamados "plateros"), que elaboraban objetos de adorno personal, y los "santeros" manufacturadores de tunjos.
