Abstract
Este trabajo se inicia mostrando las condiciones de vida socioeconómicas y culturales de los indígenas Zenúes del resguardo de San Andrés que habitan hoy la provincia Fincenu entre los ríos San Jorge y Sinú. Pasa luego a desarrollar el objetivo central de la ponencia que es la descripción y análisis de las creencias y ritos fúnebres de la comunidad indígena enfatizando el elemento de sincretismo religioso y mostrando la importancia aglutinadora que tienen estos ritos en la comunidad.
