Abstract
Las opiniones y reflexiones que serán expuestas a continuación surgen de un historiador que comparte deforma inseparable su condición humana. Son fruto de un proceso de conocimiento, de reflexiones sobre el pasado histórico y necesariamente mediadas por el presente histórico; pero también son reflexiones y opciones que tienen como escenario nuestro futuro, ya que me considero protagonista y partícipe en la dinámica y vivencia de nuestra historia, porque formo parte de una comunidad y vivo en una tierra que tiene derecho al futuro y a la vida misma. Ante todo se trata de recordar que el futuro se construye día a día; que la historia se vivió y se vive, y que esa historia que hemos heredado como praxis de otras generaciones, que necesitamos transformar con nuestra propia reflexión y acción históricas, será el legado para nuestros hijos y las jóvenes generaciones. Historia, Vida y Futuro se constituyen hoy en los eslabones de una cadena cuyo objetivo final es la construcción de una sociedad más humana.
