Abstract
La reflexión sobre el ser es un problema de la época moderna en América Latina y ha hilvanado la historia de América como un largo viaje hacia su propio encuentro. América se postula como el continente de la gran equivocación y el enfrentamiento del hombre a su realidad marca el derrotero de la creación americana. "El mundo recién descubierto no estaba localizado aún en el planeta ni tenía forma ninguna. Era una caprichosa extensión de la tierra poblada de imágenes. Había nacido de un error y las rutas que a él conducían eran como los caminos del viento y del agua" (José Luis Martínez Estrada. Radiografía de la Pampa). El escritor americano al nombrar la realidad ha develado el ser social, político y cultural de un continente con una comunidad de destino dentro de la más abigarrada diversidad.
