Abstract
A continuación se publica la introducción, las conclusiones y las fuentes de la monografía de grado, de 331 páginas, que presentó la autora para optar el título de Historiadora. El objetivo central del trabajo es entender, dentro de la perspectiva histórica, los principios y la significación en la década de 1960 a 1970, del nuevo vínculo creado entre las naciones en desarrollo y las desarrolladas. El tema se investigó minuciosamente, recopilando informaciones ordenadas y rigurosamente seleccionadas, cuyo análisis permitió emitir algunas conclusiones. Especialmente se plantea que la Alianza para el Progreso fue, desde sus orígenes, un proyecto multilateral, en el cual le correspondía a la América Latina una autoría privilegiada, y que solo podía desarrollarse en la práctica como programa multilateral y no como política de los Estados Unidos hacia los países latinoamericanos.
