Abstract
La región de la costa Caribe tuvo un papel determinante en el desarrollo prehispánico de Colombia; sus condiciones físico—geográficas especiales, su denso poblamiento por diferentes pueblos, desde varios siglos antes de la era cristiana hasta el momento de la conquista española y el hecho de ser una de las zonas sobre las que se tienen más datos históricos, arqueológicos y etnográficos, hacen que se destaque como elemento indispensable de estudio e investigación, si se desea profundizar en le conocimiento de la prehistoria colombiana.
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public, encourages greater global exchange of knowledge.
