La planeacion lingüística

Abstract

El nacimiento y rápido auge de la sociolingüística en la última déca­da la ha  llevado a fijar el concepto que en inglés se denomina Language Plan-ning, expresión que proponemos traducir al español como "planeación lin­güística", por no hallar, salvo mejor opinión, otra más apta para aludir a ese moderno tipo de investigaciones (1). Los sociólogos desde su campo y los lingüistas desde el suyo se han encontrado para investigar y replantear los problemas de la comunicación humana por medio del lenguaje, empren­diendo actividades que implican a la vez formulación de una política y aplicación de una metodología a la problemática de las lenguas nacionales, principalmente cuando estas se hallan en conflicto.
