Abstract
Desde el tercer decenio de este siglo cierta modalidad poética que se ha dado en llamar "poesía negra" ha cobrado auge e importancia en el panorama de la literatura hispanoamericana. La publicación de libros tales como Sóngoro Cosongo (1931) del cubano Nicolás Guillen o Tuntún de pasa y grifería (1937) del puertorriqueño Luis Palés Matos ha atraído la atención sobre ese tipo de poesía que recrea el ritmo de las danzas negras y expresa el sentir de esa raza, desterrada hasta entonces de la literatura. Lamentable pero significativamente tales publicaciones han interesado, hasta ahora, más al público que a la crítica, por lo que hay un enorme vacío bibliográfico sobre este tópico.This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public, encourages greater global exchange of knowledge.
