Abstract
El presente ensayo relata la historia de la Imprenta Patriótica del Instituo Caro y Cuervo y exalta su condición de empresa cultural, única en su género, baluarte de la técnica y la industria editorial y memoria del trabajo lingüístico, literario y humanístico de la nación. Desde el punto de vista metodológico e interpretativo de la sociología de la industriay del trabajo, tres ejes temáticos guían la exposición del relato: su constitución como empresa editorial y "embajadora cultural" de la nación; su valor histórico y su inmenso potencial pedagógico y cultural; y finalmente, su probabilidad de ser protegida y declarada como monumento Histórico Nacional, con el fin de construir en torno a ella un Museo "vivo" y un centro interactivo y cultural, para asegurar su permanencia y su desarrollo en el futuro mediato.This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public, encourages greater global exchange of knowledge.
