Abstract
En los últimos años, la seguridad ha pasado a ocupar un lugar cardinal tanto en la cotidianidad de los bogotanos como en las modalidades de gobierno que caracterizan la metamorfosis reciente de la capital colombiana. Tal centralidad plantea retos tan sugestivos como importantes para el análisis de la vida urbana y las experiencias bogotanas de fines del siglo XX y principios del siglo XXI. Este artículo busca contribuir a dicho análisis. Para esto, examina modalidades etnográficas para el estudio del gobierno urbano y la seguridad como dos fenómenos característicos del mundo contemporáneo. El artículo combina fragmentos entográficos y reflexiones conceptuales sobre el quehacer de la antropología. A través de esta combinación el artículo propone una etnografía multi-local en el tiempo, el espacio y la narrativa como modalidad etnográfica por excelencia para el análisis de la seguridad y el gobierno urbano, como objetos como objetos de estudio antropológico y como fenómenos característicos del mundo contemporáneo.
