Abstract
Escribir sobre la ciudad y sobre la antropología urbana presenta varios problemas tanto de orden teórico como de orden metodológico. Desde la década de los veinte con la Escuela de Chicago se viene discutiendo sobre qué es ciudad, cuáles son los elementos que la definen, cuáles no, la relación entre campo y ciudad, si hay o no cultura urbana, si se puede o no realizar antropología de la ciudad o si se hace Antropología en la ciudad. Todos estos planteamientos han llévalo al método investigativo de la Antropología a una crisis.
