Abstract

En el presente artículo Marc Zimmerman realiza una cartografía crítica de las teorías contemporáneas sobre la ciudad y la cultura urbana para, y desde allí, pensar las reconfiguraciones de las ciudades y las transformaciones de las ciudades y las transformaciones identitarias de América Latina en relación con los procesos generales de globalización mundial. En este sentido, Zimmerman argumenta que el problema surge en la forma de totalizar y determinar perspectivas culturales desde una alternativa subalterna considerando amplios locus de enunciación.
