Abstract
Esta aproximación a Santo oficio de la memoria, de Mempo Giardinelli -obra emblemática de las búsquedas narrativas del fin de milenio-, indaga en las relaciones e interdependencias de la representación de lo real a través de la figura del sujeto ficcional, figura que va construyéndose en las voces que recorren el texto desde el autor implícito para concretarse en las formas de narrador implícito, narrador figurado, personaje y narratario hasta confluir en el receptor, y que a su vez remiten a un autor y lector reales cuyas percepciones del mundo responden a las modelizaciones del imaginario cultural. Dicho campo de indagación permite la problematización de nociones tan cuestionadas en la posmodernidad como son las de sujeto, realidad y representación, y la propuesta de la categoría de imaginario como clave en el proceso de edificación de los mundos ficticios, así como en la resemantización de significados.
