Abstract

Mancha de aceite (1935) del escritor colombiano César Uribe Piedrahíta (1896 - 1951), es un texto representativo de la novelística colombiana de la primera mitad del siglo XX, porque rompe con los cánones que le preceden, se pone a la par de las nuevas formas expresivas y estéticas vigentes y brinda una visión particular del mundo: la de una modernidad crítica. La perspectiva de modernidad de la novela deja entrever a visión trágica de un mundo burgués que se fisura hasta llegar a un nihilismo sin posibilidad de metafísica alguna. Es la opción la laicidad social y discursiva.
