Abstract
El objetivo de esta ponencia está en llamar la atención sobre la necesidad de analizar más seriamente y en detalle los "movimientos populares urbanos; y no desecharlos del análisis simplemente por considerarlos: "estafadores", "supersticiosos", o por ser producto de la "ignorancia" de las gentes. Movimientos como el de Regina 11 están poniendo de presente las necesidades y urgencias materiales y espirituales de un sector de la población urbana, la cual, cada vez en mayor número, se vincula a este tipo de agremiaciones, organizaciones, sectas, movimientos o grupos, que le ofrecen gran variedad de estímulos y posibilidades de éxito en la vida o una gran variedad de soluciones a la problemática cotidiana del ingreso, el empleo, la vivienda, el amor y la salud.
