Reception of proposals

Each issue of Universitas Humanística contains a thematic dossier (Sections: Horizontes, Controversia and Otras Voces), which is defined by the editorial board, endorsed by the scientific committee and organized in collaboration with guest editors. These thematic dossiers have specific timelines for the receipt and evaluation of initial proposals and the subsequent full papers.

The journal releases periodic calls for papers for the Espacio abierto, a section that receives papers addressing topics not included in the dossier. These calls have specific timelines that coincide with the timelines of the dossier. The information about open calls is available in the ‘News’ section of our website.

Once paper proposals have been evaluated and accepted by the editorial team of each special issue, the manuscripts should be submitted for evaluation at the two email addresses of the journal (universitas.humanistica1@ gmail.com and u.humanistica@javeriana.edu.co). Initially the editorial team will review the formal criteria of the papers to endure that they are consistent with the standards of the journal. Only after the manuscripts are adjusted to the criteria of the journal they start the peer review process.
