Abstract
Within the natural process of insertion of new technologies to public
administration, it has been considered as one of most preponderant factors, the introduction of local governments in the new model of management. The digital communities or electronic communities show itself as an important component of e commerce and that is why it’s necessary to study its conceptualization and development. This document pretends to analyze the issue starting from the following structure: (i) The analysis of e government from a doctrinal perspective; (ii) The relationship between the concepts of e government and digital government; (iii) A brief explanation of the possibilities that the convergence in matters of telecommunications may offer to the different tools of digital communities; and (iv) Conclusions.
