Abstract

In the field of succession, there are a number of institutions applicable to the will that allow affirming the possibility of using external documents to apprehend the will of the testator. The evaluation of the admissibility of said legal mechanism will import a series of additional questions and problems, at least from the perspective of the traditional succession doctrine, since not all authors agree with its use, basically because it is believed that it would undermine some of the fundamental characters of the testament; Therefore, in this review of the subject, the main conclusion will be that this is not the case in Peru.
