Abstract

This communication aims to emphasize the question of the "last man" in relation to the set of the nietzschean philosophical project, whose goal is the radical transmutation of values and finally the coming of the Ubermensch. First, the reach of the concept of "last man" is defined using two texts: Aurora and Thus Spoke Zarathustra and from the posthumous fragments the ones reunited under the title: The book of the philosopher. After that it shows how, sine the present world also appears to us as the extreme consequence of the system of values whose origins and perspectives of utility was unmasked by Nietzsche, the notion of the "last man" appears like the carrier of the force and fecundity to our present.
