Abstract

This essay discusses problems on the death of art Hegel interchangeably held in his Lectures on Aesthetics, around three main topics: reminiscence, individuality, and poetic prose. These three stages correspond to the study of classical, romantic and modern forms of art, a periodization determined by the philosopher in order to show the artistic movement present in spiritual manifestations in European literature and society of Eighteenth century.
