Abstract
El presente artículo expone que subsistimos en una complejidad social hondamente diversa, que en la actualidad somos participes de una comunidad universal y de cuyos problemas no podemos excluirnos. Estos son producto de los patrones económicos prevalecientes, que nos han llevado a un sistema donde las inequidades sociales se han incrementado. Es así que se yergue una nueva ciudadanía apoyada en los principios de frugalidad y seguridad, que es donde convergen los preceptos de calidad de vida y sustentabilidad.
