Resumo
O setor manufatureiro em Duitama, Boyacá, enfrenta atualmente limitações significativas devido à crescente globalização, o que tem levado as empresas a considerar a integração de ferramentas da Indústria 4.0 (I4.0). No entanto, as pequenas e médias empresas (PMEs) frequentemente encontram dificuldades em adotar o conjunto abrangente de ferramentas inerentes a esta nova era tecnológica, o que pode resultar de uma falta de visão em relação ao seu próprio potencial. Além disso, diversos fatores impedem a apropriação bem-sucedida, podendo levar a uma abordagem reativa em vez de proativa por parte dos gestores e a um reconhecimento tardio dos riscos associados à adoção tardia.
Portanto, este estudo visa definir diretrizes estratégicas para orientar os gestores de PMEs manufatureiras em direção a uma adoção bem-sucedida das tecnologias da Indústria 4.0. Empregando uma metodologia qualitativa com escopo descritivo e um delineamento de estudo de caso, a pesquisa conclui que a escassez de recursos financeiros e técnicos constitui a principal restrição. Isso é agravado pela falta de conhecimento sobre a integração tecnológica e pela resistência inerente à mudança. Consequentemente, espera-se que as diretrizes estratégicas desenvolvidas neste estudo mitiguem essas limitações, facilitando assim uma transição bem-sucedida para a Indústria 4.0 no subsetor manufatureiro local.
