Abstract
Es la lucha perpetua entre Vallejo y el olvido en la cual se enmarca el estudio que Camilo Hernández Castellanos realiza sobre el uso de la fotografía en El desbarrancadero. Hernández Castellanos avanza el estudio de la auto-ficción de Vallejo al analizar la inclusión de una foto auténtica y simbólicamente cargada de la infancia del autor en la publicación del libro. A través de su análisis innovador sobre la capacidad de la imagen para enfrentarse al olvido, Hernández Castellanos arguye que es en el nexo entre memoria, índice y relato que Vallejo recurre a la fraternidad, la experiencia comunal y los testamentos fotográficos para fortalecerse frente al abismo de lo desconocido y el pasar de los años.
