Abstract
En este artículo se analizan dos novelas de Agustín Fernández Mallo y Pedro Mairal para examinar qué papel juegan en ellas la tecnología como parte de la cultura material del presente. Ambas son ilustrativas de un conjunto de ficciones que en el siglo XXI pueden pensarse como arqueologías del presente, novelas que, ante los procesos de virtualización de la cultura contemporánea, subrayan no tanto la ganancia expresiva de la tecnología como lenguaje, sino la pérdida o el residuo que producen los nuevos usos del tiempo en la globalización tecnológica y sus efectos sobre la intimidad o la subjetividad.
