Abstract

Este artículo cuestiona la tendencia de la crítica a fragmentar la obra de Mariátegui, enfatizando, en cambio, su multifacética, a la vez que integrada naturaleza. La lectura aquí propuesta demuestra la extraordinaria capacidad del autor para construir puentes donde tantos otros han fracasado, a partir de una revisión de su cubrimiento de eventos políticos nacionales e internacionales y de sus exámenes de procesos históricos y sociológicos, así como de su crítica artística y literaria, de sus perfiles de intelectuales, artistas y figuras políticas, y de sus reflexiones sobre religión, cultura y revolución.
