Abstract
En este artículo propongo establecer un acercamiento a la concepción de la comida como productora de identidades, trazando como ejemplo de esta representación la geografía cultural del Caribe expandido, es decir, el Caribe como una formulación más cultural que como un marco geográfico. La perspectiva de una identidad metaforizada en un plato culinario será desarrollada en un análisis contrapunteado de obras literarias, visuales y musicales, principalmente de Trinidad y de Bahía, Brasil. El diálogo comparatista se hace con el objetivo de mostrar una mayor dimensión del concepto de identidad que incluye elementos artísticos pero también religiosos y político.Cuadernos de Literatura is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
