Abstract

Este trabajo pretende trazar los diversos tipos de viajes imaginarios y reales que las personajes en At the Full and Change of the Moon (1999) de Dionne Brand y Saving the World (2006) de Julia Álvarez, emprenden para crear sus propias geografías que incluyen pasados olvidados, alterados o borrados por la oficialidad y futuros posibles sin fronteras ni daño personal o violencia colectiva. El ensayo propone utilizar las nociones de espacio de geógrafas feministas, teóricos literarios y socialurbanos para explorar los conceptos de espacio social e imaginario en estas novelas.
