Abstract
J . Michael Dash, estudioso de la literatura francófona, ofrece una lecturaanalítica e integral de la obra de Édouard Glissant escrita hasta 1993. Sus
análisis, a la vez complejos y refrescantes, logran una justa evaluación ya que permiten comprenderlo en la particularidad del contexto Caribe en el cual se inscriben sus novelas, poesías, ensayos, y a través de éstos, sus construcciones teóricas. Para ello, se apoya tanto en el estudio detallado de sus obras, en escritos previos sobre el autor, y en el mismo Édouard Glissant, quien le acompaña en este esfuerzo.
