Abstract
El texto realiza un mapeamiento general sobre las principales características de la narrativa latinoamericana contemporánea a partir de los análisis panorámicos publicados en los últimos años por investigadores de diversos países de la región, incluyendo Brasil. En la primera parte se analizan aspectos extraliterarios como las condiciones de la industria editorial, la formación de grupos literarios y el impacto de los medios masivos. La segunda parte se concentra en el análisis de la temática y aspectos formales de las nuevas producciones narrativas en América Latina, particularmente en la relación de los nuevos escritores con la tradición latinoamericana y con el concepto de nación.
