Focus and scope

The Journal Management and Health Policies (RGPS) focuses on the study of public health, health policy and sanitary management and health systems, from diverse disciplinary approaches and fields of knowledge.

Its purpose is to publish original articles that contribute, from different epistemological, theoretical and methodological approaches, to the reflection, understanding, analysis and debate of structural and problematic issues of the population health and its determinants, the meaning of health policies, the configuration of health systems and the political and managerial rationalities of the organized response to health problems, as well as their effects on the health situation, equity, quality in the provision of services and efficiency, with the purpose of contributing to improve the welfare of the populations.

It seeks to encourage dialogue and critical reflection by establishing a bridge between the academic community, public and private sectors, national and international institutions and people interested in the issues of the journal.

It is widely disseminated at the Ibero-America.

 

Open access policy

RGPS is an open and free journal.

It provides immediate free access to its content under the principle that, making research available to the public free of charge, contributes to a greater exchange of global knowledge.

It doesn´t require payments for the processing of articles or for its publication, nor does it establish periods of attachment to the authors. The contents are available in full text and without restrictions.
