Abstract
El objetivo del presente artículo de revisión, basado en consulta bibliografía, es determinar algunos
conceptos hospitalarios desde la economía de la salud como son el de hospital, el de función
de producción de servicios de salud, el de proceso y el de producto hospitalario, y finalmente,
establecer las diferentes formas de medirlo y en especial a través del
case mix o casuística de
casos. Lo anterior, con el propósito de lograr incorporar en el área de la salud conceptos más
claros sobre la dinámica económica hospitalaria.
