Abstract
Dada la distinta repercursión que la crisis económica actual ha tenido en las entidades financieras y aseguradoras, en este artículo realizamos un análisis de las recomendaciones propuestas para los bancos por el Comité de Supervisión Bancaria de Basilea y por la International Association of Insurance Supervisors para las compañías de seguros recogidas en los documentos conocidos como Basilea I, II y III y Solvencia II respectivamente. El estudio se centra en la comparación de la gestión del riesgo llevada a cabo por ambos tipos de entidades en cuanto a clasificación, métrica, y procedimiento de gestión e información a los órganos supervisores correspondientes con el fin de presentar las deficiencias normativas de los documentos anteriormente mencionados así como propuestas de mejora basadas en la experiencia de gestión de riesgos de las entidades aseguradorasThis journal is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
