Abstract

The present essay seeks to illustrate to the community of the Law of Assurances the imminent participation of the Banking Assurances in the region of Central America and Panama, not only as practices adopted in Europe several periods ago but also the incursion of banks of the first order in the buy of local and regional banks as well as insurance companies also. In the essay the doctrine of the Banking - assurance are revised as also like a scheme of the legislation of Central America supported with Puerto Rico ́s legislation, international legisla- tion that present limits to the Financial institutions brings over of the abuses that they cause in the manipulation of the insurance market and in the management of this type of intermediation of assurances.
