Abstract

The purpose of this article is a thoughtful view on reading and writing tasks such as academic training for nurses. At the same time it is analyze some issues related to the necessity of motivation on students through the practice of teaching, in which there are improve the reading and writing of themselves, so in that way they could master the discipline and expand their knowledge area trough the writting. It is relevant in the training process of the nursing profession to integrate academic areas in which, in addition to the basic contents fo the career, the reading and writing becomes a priority in the learning of students, because is necessary to have professionals capable to understand what they read and write, taking into account that in Colombia high school the practice on reading and writing is low, compromising the learning on the university.
