Abstract
This article analyzes the different cooperation dynamics that can be developed between States on security matters. To identify and characterize each one, this work is based on two questions: Why do States cooperate on security matters? And, how is this cooperation carried out? Once the differences are established between them, the article focuses on the analysis of those elements constituting the cooperative dynamic of security. Based on the contributions from the constructivism, this work analyzes how the identities and rules play a crucial role in the socialization process that results in a pacific relationship between States. This work aims to show the different choices that States may resort to in order to cope with the challenges in a global context, particularly when trying to reduce the conflicts and ensure a better stability between them.
