Fez: Between the City Culture and the World Sacred Music Festival
##plugins.themes.bootstrap3.article.details##
Since its creation in 1994, the success of the World Sacred Music Festival, fostered by the foundation Fundación Espíritu de Fez, has gone beyond the Moroccan borders. This event provides a wide gamut of spiritual chants and musics and seeks to convey the spirit of Fez, a cultural capital that values the exchange of civilizations.
The festival has been consolidated among the most important of the world music festivals and was recognized in 2001 by the UN because of its important role in promoting the dialogue between cultures and religions. The encounters in Fez bring together intellectuals, scientists and humanists around a specific topic. Open to a wide public, their works are object of exchange, dialogues, and debates under the shades of a majestic oak tree at the Batha Museum.
