Abstract
El presente trabajo realiza una breve exploración crítica del libro de Verdugo y Gutiérrez (2009), el cual tiene como eje central el análisis de la evolución del término “discapacidad” en los principales sistemas de acción, y la explicación de propuestas de intervención para la adaptabilidad de la persona con discapacidad intelectual. La lectura del libro transcurre de una manera armoniosa, clara y funcional para aquellos interesados en el tema (psicólogos, investigadores, terapeutas, educadores, familiares), buscando así la aplicación conjunta del modelo de una manera práctica y eficaz en la vida cotidiana de estas personas.
