Abstract
Currently, there is little evidence available on anger and aggression regulation problems in young people in Colombia, despite being one of the segments of the population most affected by these problems. The purpose of the research was to describe anger regulation difficulties in young Colombians (N= 222, 61.7%, females and 38.3%, males, aged between 18-30 years), as well as to identify the relationship between their manifestations of anger and aggression and some indicators of psychological inflexibility. This is a descriptive correlational study. Positive correlations were identified between the anger and agression variables with experiential avoidance, cognitive fusion and obstruction in values, while progress in committed actions, presented a negative correlation with all the previous variables. Finally, through various regression analyses it was concluded that experiential avoidance and cognitive fusion were the variables that explained the highest percentages of variability in most of the indicators of aggression and anger in percentages that could explain between 12% and 52% of the variability according to the model analyzed.
