Resumen
The goal of the present studyisto evaluate the ACT Program Training for psychologists andsocial workers in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul (South of Brazil).It is a mixed and sequentialstudy. A total of 18 professionals with an average age of 35.56 years (SD= 9.25) were includedin the quantitative stage of the study. Six participants with an average age of 35.83 years (SD=10.14) were also included in the qualitative stage. The instruments were: SociodemographicData Questionnaire;Course Reaction Scale; Tutor Performance Scale; Self-Assessment ofTraining Impact at Work; Learning Transfer Scale;Physical Punishment Beliefs Scale;andSemi-structured interview.Participants were satisfied withprogramming and usefulness ofcontents learned through training. Participation contributed to reduce legitimizing beliefs ofphysical punishment.Although participants were unable to implement theprogramdue todifficulties imposed by COVID-19 pandemic, the contents wereuseful to assistparents.
