Abstract
In commonly used mathematics text-books for engineers the heat equation is sol ved in dimension one in an incomplete form beca use the convergency of the solution is not considered. The objective of this article is to justify in a precise form all the processes of limits that participate and to show that the heat eq uation has a unique solution when Q = (O,L) L >O.
