Abstract
En esta crónica se recuperan algunas figuras y publicaciones de la prensa comunista que, desde la fundación del Partido, en 1930, orientaron los debates de la opinión inconforme con la nueva República Liberal. Se analizaron tres figuras: Gilberto Vieira, Jorge Regueros Peralta y Luis Vidales, quienes alternaron la militancia política con el trabajo periodístico en publicaciones como Tierra, El Bolquevique y Diario Popular. De acuerdo con la autora, las ideas revolucionarias llegaron tarde a Colombia y uno de sus principales agitadores fue el ruso Silvestre Savinsky, quien influyó a los jóvenes intelectuales de la generación de los Nuevos y fundó, junto al cronista Luis Tejada y al poeta Luis Vidales, el primer grupo comunista del que se tuvo noticia en el país. Luego se consolidó la prensa socialista y, antes de la fundación del Partido Socialista Revolucionario, en 1926, circulaban unos 80 periódicos que acompañaron los movimientos huelguísticos y los reclamos obreros. Aunque de corta vida, dejaron testimonio de una época de tensiones y contradicciones ideológicas.This journal is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
